A moped style electric bike features a large seat, big tires, and a stable frame combined with pedals and a motor. It feels similar to riding a scooter, but you can pedal if you choose to. Many readers may refer to it as an electric moped bike because it fits that general design.
People choose this bicycle style because it is comfortable and feels stable on the road. The long padded seats will not give any discomfort when you take it out on long rides. Youâll also love this moped style electric bike for adults when you want a comfortable ride to work, the store, or hit the trail.
ENGWE M20 3.0: A High Performance Electric BicycleÂ
All these factors combine to make the M20 3.0 one of the best high performance electric bicycles on the market. Here weâll dive into what makes it so fast and powerful. This motor has a 750 watt rated hub motor that can go up to 3,300 watts. With 120 N. m of torque, you can climb hills up to 47% grade.
The top speed is rated at 40 mph when youâre riding off-road. It can sprint from 0 to 15 mph in just 2.15 seconds! Because the default speed is 20 mph, check your local e-bike laws before riding. Keep in mind speed will vary based on your weight and road conditions. Check your state laws before attempting higher speeds.
Just as important as power is how you control it. This bike has four-piston 203 mm hydraulic disc brakes that provide plenty of stopping force. A rider wants to know their speed, so ENGWE includes a 3.5â color TFT display to keep you informed. Youâll also enjoy cruise control, dual headlights, and Shimano 7-speed drivetrain features.
It can support riders and cargo up to 330 lbs. The bike itself weighs 102 lbs. Riders between 5â3â and 6â8â should be able to find a comfortable position when riding. This makes the ENGWE M20 3.0 roomy enough to fit most adult riders comfortably.

Full Suspension for a Smooth RideÂ
These features are great, but what about roads that are less than ideal? How will bigger bumps like potholes, gravel, or curbs affect your ride? The M20 is built to soften bigger hits with a full suspension design and oversized tires.
The M20 3.0 is technically a full suspension electric bike. It features a 100 mm adjustable front fork + 55 mm adjustable rear DNM shock. You can adjust both settings to fit your weight and expected riding terrain.
Youâll also notice 20â x 4.0â tires on all-stock models. Theyâre large enough to provide additional cushion and grip to your ride. Plus, theyâre puncture-resistant so you can ride more and worry less about flats. The frame is also compatible with a 20â x 5.0â rear tire if you prefer a wider stance.
Together, all these features help absorb poor road conditions. However, this moped style electric bike isnât the most common design for full suspension.
Long Range for Real TripsÂ
The last thing we want to cover is how long you can ride this moped before the battery dies. As a long range electric bike, ENGWE offers single or dual battery configurations. The single battery version uses a single 60V 20Ah battery pack. The dual battery version comes equipped with two battery packs that double your available capacity.
That leads us to pedal assist ranges listed by ENGWE.
Single battery â up to 90 milesÂ
Dual battery â up to 180 milesÂ
Keep in mind throttle-only will get you about half that distance at about 40 miles on single and 85 miles on dual. The pedal-assist range is measured using Mode 2, Level 1. Hills, wind resistance, your speed, and weight affect range. Youâll get varied results out on the road.
Charging a depleted battery only takes a couple of hours too. The 8A charger takes about 2 hours to reach 80% on the single battery version. Allow 2.5 to 3 hours for a full charge from dead. Smart battery management takes care of the pack, so you donât have to worry.

Maximum Range on the M20: A Long Range Electric BikeÂ
If range is important to you, then youâll want to pick which battery version suits your needs. If you plan on doing shorter commutes to work and running errands then the single battery may work best. However, if you plan on riding longer distances on the weekends or using the bike for delivery, then we recommend going with the dual battery version. That way you have a little more leeway on range.
A long seat and dual setup allow a passenger to ride behind you. Included rear footpegs support your second rider. The stand over height is 31 in tall. The handlebars are also adjustable for a comfortable riding position. As always, wear a helmet and abide by your local laws.
Both bikes run with a 1-year warranty on electrical components. There is also a 1-year warranty on mechanical parts.
