Q5: How dual batteries work:
1. When a second battery is installed, a button next to the battery can be pressed to switch it on.
2. When both batteries are turned on, the bike will automatically use them collectively.
Please note: The higher voltage and power of the two batteries will be used first, the power of both batteries will be used at the same time when the voltage and power of the two batteries are at the same level.
For example: one battery voltage and power at 50, other at 40. The voltage and power of the battery with 50 will be used first, when used to 40, both batteries will be used together until the power is run out.
Q6: What to do when the throttle doesn’t pop back on the M20 e-bike:
1. Loosen the screw that fastens the throttle handle.
2. Pull out the throttle handle slightly, being sure to leave some distance between the-accelerator handle and the brake shifter kit.
3. Turn the throttle a few times until the throttle handle rebounds.
4. Fasten the screw previously removed from the throttle handle.

I love this Bike! This is so much better than normal bike. Even though it takes time to adjust riding the electric bike but if your ready to ride this. Than you are a true rider! Thank you so much Engwe!
I recommended but you should get an extra battery I also recommend a helmet
I bought this bike 2 weeks ago like 31st October 2023. That time bike price is including offer 1420 € . But right now 10.11.2023 price is 1200 €. After that I claim to company they will provide one more charger and inner tube. It’s really good bike and smoothly I can drive. Well charging capacity.
Yes I purchased this bike a few weeks ago,the shipping was fast. I purchased it 2a.m eastern time. It was shipped a like 6 hrs later and was easy to assemble. The charger and pedals where missing but after contacting the company. They sent it in the mail. I love this bike it's really smooth, comfortable and stylish. The dual headlights are really bright at night and gives the bike a great look. As is the tail break light. I went from a 350watt ebike to this. So I'm loving the bike. The dual suspension gives a much more comfortable ride. The seat is fairly comfortable and makes long rides very tolerable. The motor is very powerful and I hear a lot of people say they don't peddle on these kind of ebikes. Well I'm 5.6 and the peddle assist is very smooth and comfortable and easy to ride. I like the full throttle compared to other bikes half throttle. I also purchased a rear rack which gives it even more of a classic cafe racer Look. Look all in all this bike is just different. As there first moped style ebike I would say they did a great job. I upgraded the 160 rotors to 180s and will put hydraulic brakes next. The range is more then what I expected. I've put 50 miles on 1 charge (dual batteries version) and still went home with more then half my batterie life. Thank you Engwe for sending the items out, the fast shipping and a comfortable and great looking ebike with long range and powerful motor.
This is my fourth ebike I have purchase since 2020 and I’m not even going to lie when I tell you this one by far is my favorite. It’s a beautiful bike and competes pretty good with other brands like Super 73 accept for this bike is half the price as Super 73 and it sure goes the distance.
This is a sturdy and good-looking bike with a fantastic range and strong motor! It arrived in good packaging with easy to follow assembly instructions. Would recommend getting a kryptonite lock and an AirTag since e-bike theft is on the rise
M20 Dual Battery
Shipping was great! Packaged well.
Installation was a okay as well, took 30mins. One of their bolts stripped. Had to get a new one. Should give extra just Incase that happens.
This thing is awesome! Love the retro style. Love that it’s a dual battery. I haven’t pushed its limit to 45miles/battery, 90+ for both batteries..but I wouldn’t be surprised if it actually did those numbers. I also haven’t reached 28mph yet, but again, I don’t feel the need to. This is my summer daily commuter to work. And I don’t live far. Saves me money on gas.
I will though, next year buy a hitch for my car and should be able to take it more into the mountains(Denver). It definitely cannot fit in my hatchback, trailer hitch needed.
I suggest putting an alarm on it(Amazon) and an AirTag, so it’s a better peace of mind for you. And also a chain for the moments you leave it while you’re inside somewhere. There are other theft devices out there, just look around.
I also added more bike lights for the night time(Amazon). And read red taillights, for safety.
All in all - 10/10 for the look and amazing price.
This is my 1000 mile review for the Engwe M20 ebike. First off, right out the box the bike is good but because it's a budget level bike it definitely has room for improvement. First off, the rear shock isn't really right for this bike, it's only 750 spring pounds, this bike needs more like 1000 spring pounds, so I swapped stock rear shock for an air ride adjustable shock, huge gigantic difference. I don't know if my headlights were lemons, but in addition to being all big and goofy looking the didn't light up nothing past like 6 inches so those got replaced with stand alone rechargeable headlights that put out a true 10k lumen of soft white light. Next change was the battery, I had the big 22 amp/hour triangle battery so that went on, I ride close to 30 miles a day to get to work and back so I needed the extra capacity cause I ain't riding around on power level one, that's for sure. So, now on to speed and the speedometer. Check your speedo setting cause my bike came from factory set to 24 inch wheel, not 20, in the speedo which will give you false speed readings, as in you are going about 5 mph slower than you think, this being said, it's a zippy little ride but I needed a bit more speed, so, my M20 is now a dual motor M20, I added a 1000w front hub motor and set up to run the front motor off twist throttle and rear motor via pedal assist. Now, I can cruise at a real 35 mph no problem, up to 42 or 43 if I pedal my ass off, which I don't, I use the second motor to climb inclines with no problem and for instant acceleration, I can go from 0 to 35 in like 3 seconds. This brings me to my last upgrades, I ride on pavement only, it's my city commute, so I threw on the brown wall slicks made by choa yang, super heavy duty tubes and tires liners from bakcou, and hydraulic calipers and new rotors from Shimano S-ram. Overall, without doing anything to it this is a quality ebike. You can buy it, charge it, and ride it for many enjoyable miles. On the other hand, if your a dude, or dudette, like me, this is a great starting point to transform it into what you want. Last point I will touch on is overall styling and rideability. As you can see, it's just a really cool looking bicycle, it's kinda small, I'm only 5 foot 8 and I feel like I'm riding a little BMX bike, the way the seat is angled is kinda weird and is definitely not the best position to pedal in, but I mostly ride throttle on, only pedal when I am sitting still to get up to speed or up an incline so for me that's not a huge deal but if your gonna be trail riding and using pedal assist alot it might be an issue for you. I've put over 1000 miles on it in like 7 wee
So I ordered this for my wife and just received it yesterday. I'll start with the build.
The bike was packaged really well and shipped to me in 4 days.
Build was simple all I had to assemble was the handlebars, front wheel, pedals, front headlights and fender.
After unpacking which was extensive it didn't seem to take that long to assemble with tools provided however you will need a crescent wrench and probably a better Philips screwdriver for assembly. Dual headlights will take some tweaking to adjust properly.
Operation, I haven't changed the display from kilometers to miles yet or unlocked the speed but it moves quickly, I watched a review on YouTube that said there was a power cord under the seat that unlocks the speed but so far I got it up to 37 km per hour approximately 23 mph before speed unlock which feels quick, like I tell everyone 750 watts to 1000 usually can only hit 30 mph max which is moving on one of these bikes.
Display is a little small but functions well and similar to other bikes in function. Headlights and running lights don't seem to ever shut off it seems you can only change headlight brightness, running and rear brake light are bright.
Twist throttle is easy, bike accelerates quick, seat is comfortable, I only purchased the single battery version and we will see pure electric and pedal assist range and update.
Build quality and paint colors look great and looks like a vintage motorcycle.
Seat and suspension are adequate, seat is comfortable suspension is what's expected for the price but lots of value for the price of $1500 ish out the door and shipped after instant savings.
So far very pleased and I think my wife is going to love it. Way more value than my local shops.
Oh and has a horn lol
This bike is so much fun at 130LB I can reach 28mph. I ride around in the city or off-road and long rides with the dual batter that has 40 miles of range for both batteries. The tires and suspension are amazing they provide a comfortable smooth ride. What I like most about the bike is the style of it it’s so cool looking and overall the price for this e-bike beats any other competitors at the price range and what they provide.
165 LB 5'8 male rider. So far I have reached 33MPH. I am able to get upto 28 easily. This bike has become my daily driver 25-40 miles a day. I am losing weight and having a blast while doing it. I drive through rough forests and flat concrete. Ive caught air a few times as well. I get complements and questions daily. I am blown away by the range. 40 miles on full throttle and double with peddle assist. I put 844 miles on her so far! Saves me gas money. I leave to work around 4AM so the bright lights are a life saver for seeing the road. I am used to smaller seats so I find the bigger seat comfy for 10+mile cruises to work. I couldnt be happier with my purchase. I am saving for another one so I can adventure with my fiance and explore the cities around me. Tons of fun. This bike is beast.
It's perfect for my wife who's 5'4". She loves the looks, build, and ride quality. She raves the soft seat and dual suspension way better than her branded, non-electric dual suspension mountain bike with an aftermarket cushioned bike seat. The dual lights work great & as good as most aftermarket bike lights. The 750w motor has a great response on flat, downhills, & regular hills though it can struggle a bit on very steep ones which we rarely trek on & have. The range on dual batteries is close to advertised on PAS 1-3 which was plenty fast enough for the wife & allowed at bike lanes/paths. It has been a head turner & great value compared to other in this price range. We highly recommend it!
This is so fun my kid was so excited to open it on Christmas Day he has a lot of fun riding it every chance he gets he says the battery life is phenomenal he loves the speed and acceleration and the great quality he loves how the screen shows the speed and battery and how the buttons for the pedaling assistance are super accessible he loves how he can off road and he loves the suspension he says the lights are super bright and noticeable for any driver and his favorite thing is the horn and many more things about it I can’t fit all the things he likes but I absolutely love it he said it was the perfect bike and gift for him
Nice looks literally at hundreds of ebikes and this is the best price for the money
The best the way lust is but know
Im very impressed the way it handles and way more comfortable to ride than last e bike I had
The bike is very nice but it’s pretty tall. You should be at least 5’3 to use the bike. It would be nice if the seat is adjustable. Good overall!
I live near the mountains and have been going off-roading with this bike since I purchased it 3 weeks ago. Met up with someone riding a dirt bike and was able to ride together through steep hills for 39 miles PAS 5 before battery was at 2 bars. Of course he had to slow down to wait but I was surprised the bike made it through all the tough terrain. I would definitely recommend this bike if you’re on a budget and looking for an off-roading ebike.
This bike is an incredible value. I've got about 200 miles on it now and I couldn't be happier. Assembly was a piece of cake (other than the headlight install, which I had to get my wife's help with), and so far it's been rock solid. It's an extremely comfortable ride with the front and back suspension along with the 4" tires. Bumps that make me cringe on my E-scooter I don't even notice on this thing. Top speed for me is about 25 mph (235 lb rider), and I just finished a 26 mile ride with 2 bars to spare and didn't even touch the 2nd battery. Hill climbing is decent, but if you come to a steep hill you'll have to engage the 2nd motor (your legs). As for looks and style, Engwe knocked it out of the park here. This is one of the coolest looking E-bikes I've seen. The slight V-shape on the top bar actually makes a huge difference, and sets it apart looks wise from other bikes of this style.
A couple of things I'd like to see on the pro version which I'm sure is coming are hydraulic brakes, cruise control, adjustable pedal assist levels, some sort of a rack option, and maybe a little more torque.
Anyway, I'm extremely happy with this purchase, and would highly recommend it. It's the best value I've seen out there for this style of bike. Great job Engwe!
