I've had my Pro since approximately April of 2023 my serial number says it's the 98th of the assembly line in 2022 in December this baby is tremendous she's taking me everywhere and it's went beyond the call of duty LOL customer service was fabulous finally needed another motor due to all the abuse I gave her at approximately 4,500 miles I just put in my new motor today and thanks to Tracy at customer service it was a perfect fit delivery was fast now my baby's up and ripping butt again
I bought my Engwe Engine Pro 3 years ago now. First off, I used it to do a 300 mile challenge. No pedal assist or throttle. The bike with the 8 speed cassette rides like a dream. I was able to do the whole 300 miles without using the battery once. I have ridden the BWI Airport loop using pedal assist for the hills, 10 mile loop, and because of the regenerative braking, still had 100% on the battery. This is an amazing bike. Well worth the price. Only thing is I want to put the BMX handlebars on it. Love this bike. And it fits easily in the back of my Nissan rogue.
BOUGHT THIS BIKE A YEAR AGO, I USE IT MOSTLY ON OFF ROADS, SEASONAL ROADS AND TRAILS. THE WIDE TIRES HANDLES THE TERRAIN AND THE SUSPENSION SMOOTHS OUT THE BUMPS AND POT HOLES. THE BRAKES STOP GREAT AND THE BACK RACK HOLDS ALL MY DAILY GEAR AND LUNCH. THE BATTERY IS STILL GOING STRONG AND EVERYTHING IS STILL WORKING JUST GREAT. IT'S A LOT OF FUN TO RIDE. SHIPPED TO ME QUICKLY AND EASY TO SET UP.
I love this ebike so much and the torque on this thing makes it so easy to climb up hills and is so much better than a normal bike. Would recommend to anyone looking for an ebike.
In 6ft 2in tall 350 lbs. this thing moves with me on it Iâm shocked no pun intended. So far so good I wanted a fat tire bike and found this one. When comparable ones are selling for 3500-7000$ this thing is an absolute steal . The quality is surprising for the price. Everything works As itâs supposed to. 10/10
I have been riding an Engine Pro for a few months now and I am really loving it. It's a perfect balance of size, weight, and performance. The fat tires plus suspension soak up just about any terrain. I have taken it up mountains on bicycle trails and around town. It fits in the back of my Explorer SUV when I fold it up. It makes a great backup vehicle and has plenty of room on the rack to carry groceries or anything you want to strap back there. I think they did a good job sourcing the parts as everything I've seen has been pretty solid and dependable. It's a great bike for someone getting back into riding who wants to extend their range and enjoy all the fun places they went as a kid.
What a great e-bike! Good quality sturdy build. 83 lbs. Foldable, allows you to take it anywhere and explore new trails. The bike is fast and the 16 amp battery allows you extended time to ride. Dual suspension is a real positive feature on this bike.
The entire bike is a great value at a great price.
This is my first E Bike and after many hours of research and reviews I decided on the Engine Pro. I wanted an E Bike to explore when I am out camping and when I am home. I needed a foldable Bike that is somewhat "light".. to pack up when I go out camping. Well my first impressions are WOW, what an amazing E Bike. It has lots of power, foldable and good battery life. I love it. I have taken it out for about 50 miles if riding, on bike paths and some mountain biking. Works great, no issues and I and everybody that sees it loves it!
After researching alot of e bikes, this was definitely the one for me. The feel and power of this bike is great! Bought it for commuting to and from work and I was not disappointed. As a 6'2", 251lb man, the bike adjusts comfortably and I can hit top speed at 30 mph. Although just hitting 20 mph feels great. Pedal assist works like a charm and the brakes are tight and responsive. I ordered it right when they ran out of stock, customer service reached out to me and told me it would not be in-stock until the end of the month and offered me a full refund. But I said I would wait for it and IT WAS WORTH IT. Definitely will recommend to friends and family.
Iâm 71 years old and I bought my first ENGWE ebike last summer (2022). I liked it so much that I bought a second bike for my girlfriend and plan to buy a third bike for when family and friends come to visit. Itâs a very comfortable ride and very high quality. I ride my ebike almost every day depending on weather. Itâs my primary transportation to the local gym. The pictures are from riding on the bike paths at Lake Tahoe.
Engwe engine pro is an amazing scooter and I have ridden it 145 miles and it works like a charm. I love how well it can go up steep hills, and itâs fat tires. I love the throttle only mode especially, and I love the speed of the bike. I only wish that on the fastest mode it can go farther, I can only go 25 miles on a full charge in fast mode. But to fix this I am waiting for a big sale in the battery so I can get another.
Hello I've had my Engwe Engine Pro for around 3 months and just enjoy the hell out of it. People stop and ask about it all the time. With back and knee problems it works great for me getting around for fun and exercising. For my budget it was just right. Wish everybody good riding and be safe.
Had it for a month now , arrived on time, was easy to assemble and like the comfort of the ride and controls work very easily. Also like the fact you can take the battery out to charge it back up . Would highly recommend this product.
This is the best e-bike Iâve owned out of the 3 I have. Very comfortable and fast to ride. Has an aggressive look and definitely a head turner. Had many compliments on this e-bike. This is the beast of all e-bikes. Great quality! I used it to get some cycling exercise. I ride approximately 20-30 miles in the morning daily. Highly recommend this e-bike if your in the market buying one. For the the price of this e-bike, it has better accessories and better quality than the more expensive ones. Thank you Engwe for your exceptional customer service.
So far I'm loving this bike! It was super easy to finish assembling by just attaching the handlebar assembly and pedals. I had a bit of rattling going on because of the fenders being squeezed tightly through the frame, I simply stuck two little pieces of rubber in there and the tingy sound went away. As far as being able to boogy around town this bike is AWESOME! I've had it up to 33.3 mph đł. I love how you can trickle charge the battery while cruising downhill over 12mph in 1 or 0 pas mode as well. I invested in an extra battery just in case, but I don't think you have to because they last a long time! I almost always use throttle only and have never had the battery under 50 percent. This bike is very heavy and can be awkward to fold up, but once you have the handle bars off and the frame folded it will fit in the back of a mini Cooper. Shipping was a couple weeks late and Engwe credited me back 50 bucks. All in all and bang for your buck this e-bike rocks!
I've only had mine for a couple of months, this is my first e-bike and didn't know what to expect, but this was the brand I had looked at the most. So when I found one used for sale I decided to take the chance. I now feel as if I stole it, because I only paid $550 and it only had 390 miles on it, with a new motor because the original had failed somehow. I could not be happier with it. Not only does it perfectly serve my commuting needs in a hilly area, but it's also just ridiculously fun to ride. I easily reach 35 mph headed down a good hill and it never feels wobbly. Can't wait to get the rear rack battery add-on, the only issue with mine is that it's one of the older ones which had the smaller battery housing, I think that the largest replacement I can fit in mine is 14Ah, but the battery it came with has less Ah than that.
I've owned my Engine Pro for 3.5 years now, and have clocked nearly 600 miles on it. I take it everywhere I go camping, and absolutely love it! Going down hill, I've hit 39 MPH on max power and pedaling on the highest gear, and it still felt stable and fully controllable. The original battery still will take me at least 25 miles on hilly terrain without pedaling at all. After all these miles, I'm still on the original brake pads and discs, original tires, and the same battery it came with. This bike has been a champ on all sorts of environments, from flat asphalt, hilly paved roads, rocky mountain trails, sand, and pretty much everything in between.
The only problem I had when I bought the bike 3.5 years ago was with the charging port on the battery. The retaining nut for the charge port on the battery was stripped out, so the charging port would come out when unplugging the charger. I'm an advanced electronics technician in the aviation industry, so I told them I could repair the battery. After I sent them photos of the defect, they sent me a whole new battery switch/charge endcap assembly. I soldered the new on in and things have been great since then.
After 3.5 years of driving this bike regularly (nearly 600 miles now), there aren't many things that have been concerns, but here they are (and they're minor for me).
*** I left it out in the rain overnight once. Since then, the "-" button for reducing power almost never registers the button press. Most of the time I have to power it off and back on to be able to reduce my power setting. I also cannot enter the menu now, because this button is used to go to the settings menu.
*** The brakes have always squeaked really loud since I got it, but the braking performance is still top-notch.
*** The tires are wearing slowly, even though it's been driven a lot on paved roads. I hit a pothole in the road once, resulting in severe damage to the sidewall of the tire, but the rim held up with no damage. I'll have to replace the tire.
*** The seat is horribly uncomfortable for long rides, so I got a bigger seat off "the big A online store" for a few bucks. I'm not a big guy (5' 8'" at 160 lbs), so the bigger seat wasn't because I was too fat for it. The included seat just sucks. It's hard and puts uncomfortable pressure on the "wedding tackle."
*** After my parents tried my bike, they each ordered one, so they're so good they sell themselves.
*** The aluminum plates in the middle of the frame for the rear suspension has three bolts that go through. These three bolts want to come loose often. A few times a year I have to remove the bolts, lubricate the bushings, and reinstall the bolts with red thread locker (yes, they still come loose with red thread locker).
*** The paint and decals have held up very well. The bike doesn't sit out in the rain, but it's stored outdoors where it gets sunlight daily. The paint hasn't faded, and the decals haven't faded or peeled.
*** This bike has been to the beach a few times, and rinsed off in the hose after to get rid of the salt. A few of the fasteners on the bike have started to get a bit of rust, and the front shocks on the forks are starting to get minor rust of the piston chrome.
I've only folded the bike up for transport a couple times, but every time I've needed to fold it, everything works the way it should. Overall, this bike has been amazing. I received no discount, gift, or incentive to write this review. I just got done riding it on my camping trip I'm currently on, and realized I never gave a review of this amazing bike. I can't recommend it enough. I can't wait for an even higher powered bike to order from them. They are a great company to order your bike from!
If Engwe can sell me a replacement button pad to repair the water damage and a new rear tire, I'd love to hear from them! Thanks, Engwe!
Best e-bike a ever gotten love it đ»
I purchased this bike for exercise and mostly ride in the pedal assist 3-4 mode and gear 5/6/7. Changed out the wheel diameter to 22" in order to get the speedometer and trip meter to match my Garmin GPS readings. In the 20" mode, the bike moves about 1/10th mile more than what I get on the GPS, and the speedometer gives a slower reading than my GPS reading. I adjusted the seat height to get a full leg extention on the pedal downstroke, and when I come to a stop, I cannot touch the ground so I use a curb where available. I have a 30" inseam. I rode in 10 mile increments and after 30 miles, the battery is at 2 icons on the battery widget. No way of knowing what the voltage consumption is as you ride with the Y-80C configuration, but I will charge when it reads 1 power level on the battery icon. I purchased an extra battery that came with a different battery charging port that takes a different cable adapter. (DC to Millet Head). Engwe was kind enough to send me an adapter so I can charge my new battery. I purchased the 17L-35L rack bag and a bike cover as well. The rack bag unfolds on the sides and simulates saddle bags like on your motorcycle for day trips. I will carry the extra battery with me to double my ride distance, and make sure I can get back to base camp without running out of voltage. Overall, I would recommend this bike to anyone wanting to get started with an ebike, get some exercise with FRESH AIR, and make some short trips around town or on your favorite bike trail. You will not be dissapointed.
